Yosemite

With only a couple of days in the park my first inkling of its vast scale was just after we payed to enter the park boundary. We had just payed to drive into the park, after an already long drive I thought that was that now we can find our site and unpack, but no we still had a few hours drive through winding ribbon like roads climbing then falling revealing beautiful views which I could glimpse at before paying attention to the road again.

After arriving at the main valley you are greeted with an impressive view where the sheer vertical nature of the park started to dawn on me. Setting up camp each morning I was reminded of the beauty with the sun illuminating Yosemite falls from my fire pit.

In awe of the park I had a busy few days trying to walk as many trails as possible, view as many views and climb as many steps as possible. It was tiring but I would do it all again in a heartbeat.

With much of the time spent in the park actually walking I made time along the way to enjoy smaller moments such as conquering this rock, appreciating the cliff faces and sky, and one of my favourites testing the water a top the falls.

It was cold!

I started to miss this park as soon as I left and hope to return as soon as the opportunity presents itself.
