In the Wild

In the wild started as just another painting in my free time exploring composition and colours. During a draft for my next painting however I realised I had included this theme of combining wild animals at locations and scales you could not see in the real world, so, i ran with it aiming to produce 3 paintings within 2 weeks.

I think my first two were successful and I am very happy with my use of colour texture and composition. However when it came to the last painting disaster struck. My laptop needed to be repaired and it would take 2 weeks.

What could I do? just put this idea on hold whilst my laptop is repaired, I did think of that but in my mind it felt a little disingenuous. So my next idea was to just paint. It had been a while since using physical paints so I was sure to be rusty but I thought it would be a fun experience. I tried both watercolour and acrylic to varying degrees of success and thought i should include my failures as well for your enjoyment. So here they are, my attempts at the third painting in the series.
